When we were learning about Shakespeare, and his work. We focused on studying Romeo Juliet. In class we were given a packet that had descriptions of each character in Romeo and Juliet. Since our team is split between 2 different classes, my class were the Capulets and the other Montague. After deciding who or what small groups were going to design which hats, we were given materials like cloth, hot glue, popsicle sticks, and various other arts and crafts materials. Me and my partner deigned Lord Capulets hat, in Romeo and Juliet Lord Capulet is seen as a type of pig, who has little respect for women and seeming hygiene. We wanted to make a simple but bold hat, since we thought that Lord C would have a sort of selfish loathing personality. We decided on the main color of red, since the Capulets were associated with colors like red and yellow for being more aggressive or fiery. The green was just a touch to make the hat stand out more. I worked with my partner Eric to make the hat, I personally cut out the red fabric around the hat, and made the structure of it with the white metal piping that lines the inside.

Reflection:
I think hat has a good bold color choice, which helps it impersonate the character more and stand out from other hats. If I were to make changes to the hat I think I would change the green cotton balls to white or yellow, this would make it more obvious to which house hold it belongs to. If I could design the hat in any way I wanted I would probably have a solid gold round base, that then has flames made of gold around it, and the flames have rubys on the ends to make them look realistic and to add the bling. Then on the sides of the crown around your head I would have diamonds on the edges.
