This is the practice model my partner and I made together. We as a class made these to practice using LED's in our actual final models. We practiced concealing the breadboard and wiring to help make the model look more realistic. We used dimmer switches, and regular switches on different parts that would make sense for them to be used in. This practice will overall make our final models have lighting and will minimize the mishaps and maximize the efficiency in which we finish them.
Final Model:
The main thing I learned from making the models was the craftsmanship and detail that needs to go into it. Personally I was familiar with crafting, but I was not familiar with scaling and proportioning the model to size. Every component needs to have its own measurements and simply look correct, a lot of the time I was just trying to eye ball it and stopped my self and just measured the correct lengths making it easier to have things in place and professional.
In class we learned about and practiced using circuits and bread boards. I was in charge of all the wiring for my model, this was because I had experience doing it and it was overall quickest way to get it finished before exhibition. I was very cautious when doing the wiring, making sure that the negative and the positive wire didn't and weren't ale to touch anywhere. If they were to they would heat up and potentially start a fire. Other then that I found many techniques to wire led's and extend wires.
